Lee Smith, President & CEO

With more than 20 years of experience within the technology, marketing, information, and advertising industries, Lee has a demonstrated track record of delivering unique value for his clients.

Lee's area of expertise include business, marketing - with a particular focus upon the online environment and technology. He crafts actionable strategies that deliver proven results using search engine marketing, online advertising, market research and custom website development activities.

Before starting Persuasive Brands, Lee was the founder, President, COO, and acting CEO of InsightExpress, a leading technology-enabled online market research firm. As the executive-in-charge, Lee developed the strategic vision of the company, increased revenue by more than 600% achieving sustained profitability and established the firm as one of the top 10 most visited Internet domains as well as one of the 50 largest market research companies in the United States.

As an Associate Board Member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau, Lee helped to promote the benefits of the online medium to advertisers and agencies. Lee is an accomplished speaker appearing on CNBC's Squawk Box, Bloomberg TV, CNN, ABC TV and National Public Radio and frequently quoted for his marketing and advertising expertise by The Associated Press, USA Today, ClickZ, The New York Times, Variety, iMediaConnection and MediaPost Communications. Lee's innovative ideas and business practices have been recognized -- awarding him four U.S. patents.

Working globally for the Dun & Bradstreet family of companies, including Moody's Investors Service and ACNielsen, Lee developed and implemented strategies to transition information-intensive businesses to the online marketplace. For five years, Lee also worked for the Unisys Corporation developing networking products and distributed applications.

Lee holds an MBA in marketing and finance from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper Business School. He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from The Pennsylvania State University.
